With a 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 first-round win against Spaniard Albert Ramos, Federer looked as if he was hungry as ever.  Yes, it's very early into the tournament, but if he is to win one more Grand Slam, chances are it will be on this surface and at this venue.

Second seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus dispatched Ana Ivanovic 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the quarter-final of to meet Tamira Paszek.

Six time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer overcome his back problem to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2013 defeating Xavier Malisse 7-6, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.

World No.1 and top seed Maria Sharapova crashed out of Wimbledon 2013 losing to Sabine Lisicki of Germany 6-4, 6-3.

Defending champion and No.4 seed Petra Kvitova defeated Francesca Schiavone 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 to enter the quarter-final of Wimbledon 2013 to meet Serena Williams.

In the Ladies’ draw, Serena Williams won a hard fought battle against Yaroslava Shvedova 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2013.




After Maria Sharapova crashed out earlier today, Azarenka is now the highest ranking women left in the tournament. Watch this space.
